Saturday should be mostly sunny with a high near 82 degrees. But the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection warns active children and adults, and people with respiratory disease, such as asthma, should limit prolonged outdoor exertion because ground level ozone may approach or exceed healthy standards.

With heightened ozone levels, there is an increasing likelihood of respiratory symptoms and breathing discomfort in active children and adults with respiratory disease.

Showers and thunderstorms are possible Saturday evening, mainly after midnight, with patchy fog after 3 a.m. and a low of about 64.

Sunday could see showers and thunderstorms under mostly cloudy skies, with a high near 80. Showers are likely in the evening.
