Friends and neighbors, elected officials and veterans turned out this morning for the Memorial Day Parade. Under a blazing sun, ice cream trucks enjoyed a brisk business while parents spritzed marching band members with water to keep the kids cool. In so many ways, the day epitomized the best of Norwalk.
