This year’s Mass will honor all the first responders and departments that assisted in the Newtown school shooting tragedy. A posthumous recognition will also be made for Easton firefighter Lt. Russell Neary, who died responding to an emergency during Superstorm Sandy last year.

After the Mass, a reception in the mansion located on the parish grounds will be held.

The Blue Mass is now in its 12th year of commemorating courage and commitment of the uniformed personnel who protect Fairfield County every day of the year. Bishop William Lori founded the Blue Mass to celebrate the life and heroism of those who died during the 9/11 terrorist attacks.

St. Philip Church is located at 1 Father Conlon Place, Norwalk.
