It's obvious when your car is too dirty (those "Wash Me" notes fingerpainted in the dust are a dead giveaway), but less so when the oil needs changing. How convenient would it be to be able to do both at the same place?
That's why the folks at Splash Car Washes added oil change facilities to their Norwalk and Wilton locations. "We've been doing about eight or nine a day," says Daniel Petrele, who manages the operation at Wilton. "Now that the weather's getting better, I think it will start picking up even more."
Similar to their car wash options, Splash offers a variety of levels of oil changes, which all include new filters. "We have regular oil, synthetic blend, full synthetic, Mobil 1 and high mileage," says Petrele. "We've been doing a lot of the synthetic, especially for people driving expensive cars they want to protect their investment."
Oil isn't the only fluid you can get replaced at Splash. Transmission fluid and an antifreeze flush are also offered. Those are checked and topped off as part of a regular oil change. You can also have your tires rotated while you're waiting.
It wouldn't do to drive a dirty car that just had its fluids replaced, so an exterior car wash comes with the oil change, with upgrades to more extensive cleanings and detailing available for an additional charge.
After this one-stop shopping, you can be sure you'll be driving away in a car that's as clean both inside and out.
