Owl Release to Raise Cash for Wildlife

When you get to experience the beauty of a rehabilitated animal's release into the wild, while raising money to save other injured species, it's a win-win for everyone and you can be a part of it.

Wildlife in Crisis, a county-wide wildlife care center based in Weston, will host its annual Great Horned Owl Release Fundraiser at the Greenwich Connecticut Audubon Center on Sunday, Aug. 29. The event will include a wine and beer tasting, a silent auction, and hors d'oeuvres. The $100 admission fee will support the non-profit center, which since its founding 22 years ago, has responded to more than 15,000 wildlife-related calls each year,.

Those interested should RSVP as soon as possible, because spots fill up quickly. You may do so through e-mail, or by calling WIC at 203-544-9913. Donations are tax deductible.?WIC is run entirely by volunteers and relies solely on donations.
