Each group developed their own skits, songs, costumes and themes. A panel of judges, including Stephanie Armstrong, Miggs Burroughs, Valerie Jensen and Angie Rubino, commented on each group’s performance.

The music, dance and theater performances took place at Concert Hall at Norwalk City Hall, and a reception was held afterward.

STAR staff members Nancy Armstrong and Mark Minnock created the Theater of STARS program nine years ago for adults served by STAR, and each year the number of participating performers has grown. This year, 90 performers from Norwalk, Westport, Weston, Wilton, Darien and New Canaan participated in the show.

Sponsors of the event included: Cain Management, City of Norwalk, Country Convenience, Joan Dionne, Arlene and Nick DuBiago, Dunkin Donuts, Brian Foster, Christine and Mike Gallo, Kathy and Peter Gogolak, Beth and Obie Harrington-Howes, Honda of Westport, Bernadette and Glenn Jackel, Valerie and Greg Jensen, Kesten-Brown Insurance, Rosemary Lovallo, Barbara and Tom McInerney, Ali and Doug Milne, Pepsi, Probus Club of Greater Bridgeport, Prospector Theater, Mayor Harry Rilling, The Socreboard and Van Brunt, DuBiago and Co CPAs.
