Students from the FCA’s after-school program, teens from the behavioral health program and youths from Specialized Foster Care were able to attend the games and sit in the agency’s suite at the Ballpark at Harbor Yard. St. Matthew K of C Council 14360 has helped to sponsor a number of FCA events since 2009.
“Family & Children’s Agency is grateful to the St. Matthew Knights of Columbus Council for their generous efforts to sponsor outings for FCA clients at the Bridgeport Bluefish,” Robert F. Cashel, president and CEO of FCA, said. “Many of our clients do not have the opportunity or resources to go to ballgames during the summer, so these field trips are very meaningful for them.”
Grand Knight George Ribellino added, “The FCA does great work in the local community, and our council is honored to help a great organization and most importantly help the youth of tomorrow. Seeing the smiles on the kids’ faces makes it all worth it.”
FCA is a nonprofit organization that offers services to all ages, from children to seniors, to build strength and help provide their needs. FCA serves Fairfield County and the surrounding areas.
