Norwalk Hospital Board Shifts

Diane Allison of Westport will serve as the new chairman of the Norwalk Hospital Board of Trustees. She replaces Ervin Shames, who completed his term as chairman but remains on the Norwalk Hospital Board of Trustees and the Norwalk Hospital Foundation Board of Directors.

The hospital has also announced the appointment of several new members to the Norwalk Hospital Board of Trustees and Norwalk Hospital Foundation Board of Directors.

Allison joined the board in 2003, serving as vice chairman since 2009 and as a member of several board committees, including finance, audit/corporate compliance and quality. "Diane is a long-standing and valued member of the Board of Trustees. It's an honor to be working with Diane as we continue to broaden our array of high quality, healthcare services," Dan DeBarba, president and CEO of Norwalk Hospital, said in a statement.

Allison is a partner at Gunn, Godfrey & Allison in Westport. "I'm grateful for the confidence the board has placed in me and excited by the tremendous opportunity to help guide Norwalk Hospital to reach its full potential," Allison said in a statement.
