Tyler Butler and Christopher Joyner made great use of their day off Thursday from Rowayton Elementary School, making the snowscape in their South Norwalk front yard into a playground. Tyler, 10, and his brother Christopher, 6, jumped off the front porch and into the snow, although Christopher sensibly used the lower level as a launching pad.
Tyler briefly tried to build an igloo but discovered that was a bit too difficult. He had better luck throwing snowballs at Christopher over and over again as they both laughed. "We're having a snowball fight," Tyler said.
The boys will be back in school Friday: All of the Norwalk school parking lots have been plowed, and Superintendent Susan Marks has declared their surprise holiday finished.
