New Jewelry Line Takes Stand Against Abuse

The jewelry we wear makes a statement about who we are. Bold, classic, funky or eclectic, the pieces we choose speak volumes. And sometimes, a line of jewelry comes along that also helps us make a statement about what we believe.

This week, Agabhumi, The Best of Bali, will unveil a new line of jewelry designed to benefit Children’s Connection, a program within the Norwalk-based Human Services Council dedicated to supporting abused and neglected children in our area. “There are basic tenets of human nature that need to be respected. Children’s Connection represents the very core of that,” said Agabhumi co-owner, Regina Kirshbaum.

The new collection of necklaces and bracelets is available for both children and adults. Primary colors and interlocking puzzle pieces are the hallmark of the line. They represent the organization’s dedication to “bringing the pieces together to create a world where no child is harmed, and no family is left without guidance.” The pieces are affordably priced, with most items costing less than $25.

And this week, Agabhumi gives you a great excuse to get an early start on your holiday shopping. The store will donate a portion of proceeds from both the Stamford and Westport locations when shoppers mention Children’s Connection or the Human Services Council. And Tuesday, Oct. 25, the Westport location will host a launch party for the line from 6 to 8:30 p.m.
