It's Time to Honor our Veterans

With Veterans Day upon us and another election behind us, we should all take a moment to reflect on the unique and amazing character of those who choose to serve our nation. While our society splits into Democrat and Republican, the men and women of our armed forces continue the proud tradition of coming together as Americans. It matters not where you are from, what the color of your skin, or what God you believe in when you are fighting far from home. Those that carry our flag do it because they are Americans and they are fighting for us, We The People.

As we look away from a polarizing election and toward a bright new year, let us reflect on the ideals and sacrifices of those that continue the tradition of service to our nation. We owe it to those risking it all for us to try to come together as Americans at home just as they do so far away. The challenges we face are not unique to any group, they don't cut across ethnic or religious or geographic lines, and so neither can our response to them. By coming together and working as a team, we can do great things. I hope that we can take guidance from our brave warriors and have yet another thing to thank our veterans for.
