Dennis Finneran has worked as a Norwalk Hospital paramedic for 27 years. He had the unexpected heart surgery on Feb. 3.  The already complex initial surgery was plagued with additional complications resulting in two additional surgeries.

Finneran is currently in critical but stable condition at St. Vincent’s Medical Center. He will be out of work for an extended period of time, and his recovery time is unknown.

Finneran has spent over 30 years in EMS, working in Southwestern Connecticut and New York City. He is the sole provider for his wife, three daughters and his son, according to the GoFundMe page.
