From a space barely larger than a closet, Kim Shilleh meets the needs of all who visit City Hall. No, he doesn't issue approvals or accept documents. Shilleh owns the canteen just inside the main doorway. Along with two employees, he provides breakfast, lunch and snacks for city employees and as well as those who come to City Hall on business.
I sell lots of coffee, lots of coffee, he said with a laugh. I originally said I would try it for three months, he said of the operation that was formerly run by the school system. That was two years ago come July and he plans to continue. He also owns a similar business in Wilton. There wasnt time to answer more questions. A line was forming -- people waiting to buy coffee.
