Ripka's Giving Tree is hosted by Ripka's Beach Café in conjunction with the East Norwalk Business Association, the Courage to Speak Foundation, Toys for Tots and the Parent Teacher Associations of Nathan Hale Middle School and Marvin Elementary. It will be held at Calf Pasture Beach on Saturday, Dec. 2 from noon to 6 p.m.
The event is designed to benefit local charities and schools, with 100 percent of net proceeds from the purchases of wreaths and trees being given to charity. Pre-purchased wreaths can be picked up and decorated on-site the day of the event. A limited supply of additional wreaths and Christmas trees will be available for the benefit while supplies last.
Ripka's Giving Tree is intended to bring the community at large together in a festive way. Everyone is welcome. For directions, wreath purchases and more, go to www.RipkasGivingTrees.com.
