You've Got the Look: Osvaldo Jardim

When I bumped into Osvaldo Jardim in Stamford, my photographer and I were in the midst of a discussion about the differences between American and Continental style. Osvaldo, a native of Portugal who currently works in Stamford, exemplifies European urban street chic. His look is layered, textured and hip.

So, where does this global citizen like to shop in Fairfield County?

“I love Zara,” Osvaldo tells me of the Spanish clothier with locations in the Stamford Town Center and on the Avenue in Greenwich. “And the Gap,” he adds.

I just have to know where he got his scarf, so I ask.

“Ah this,” Osvaldo laughs, “this I got in Europe.”

When this stylish neighbor isn’t busy shopping and looking great doing it, you can find him working construction in Stamford.

“I love it here,” Osvaldo says. “Close to New York City, but with all kinds of stuff happening here, too. It makes me less homesick.”
