Introduced in 2004 by grateful patients, this community driven event has grown in size and spirit, raising more than $2.75 million since its inception, all of which has remained in the community to support patient programs and services of the Whittingham Cancer Center.
The event features a timed 5k run at 8:30 a.m., a 3k walk at 10:30 a.m., entertainment by DNR, Fairfield County’s all physicians rock band, health booths, and kid’s activities. Run awards will be provided in eight different age categories. Registration for this rain or shine benefit will begin at 7:30 a.m. for the run and 9 a.m. for the walk.
All donations made in support of the Whittingham Cancer Center Walk and Sally’s Run are tax-deductible. Click here to visit their website.
The registration fee is $30 per adult and $15 per child under 19 years of age until April 29, $40 per adult on the day of registration, and includes a T-shirt. Parking is free and no pets are allowed.
Proceeds from the walk/run will assist the Whittingham Cancer Center in its efforts to continue to provide local residents with the best possible cancer care, close to home. For more information, contact Jaimie DeSisto, manager, Special Events at 203-852-2022 or Jaimie.DeSisto@wchn.org.
