What’s Open / Closed On Good Friday In Norwalk

NORWALK, Conn. — Government offices and most banks in and around Norwalk will be closed Friday in observance of Good Friday.

All of Norwalk's schools also will be closed March 29 for students and teachers. The Board of Education will be out of the office, too.

Norwalk City Hall and all its offices throughout the community will be closed in observance of the religious holiday, however, there will be regularly scheduled garbage collection and recycling pickup Friday.

Also, the city’s Transfer station, located at 61 Crescent St., will be open Friday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The U.S. Postal Service will not deliver mail Friday, and most banks will be closed. Check with your individual bank to find out whether it will be open.

Most stores and attractions also will be open Friday. But if you're heading out, don't forget to check with those entities to make sure they will be open on the holiday.
