Take a spring break to turn wine into water with Darien wine merchant Nicholas Roberts Fine Wines, Nicholas Roberts Gourmet Bistro, Frederick Wildman and Sons, and Equinox Fitness. These four have teamed up to bring you what they call a three hour gustatory explosion on April 2 at the Darien Equinox to benefit Turning Water Into Wine, a non-profit whose mission it is to finance the building of sustainable water and sanitation facilities in the poorest regions of the world through wine-related events. Bistro Head Chef Robert Troilo has created a spring tasting menu for the evening, and theyll be pouring more than 50 European and South American wines throughout the evening.
The cost is an at will donation to Turning Wine Into Water. One hundred percent of those proceeds, along with 10 percent of the evenings sales, will go directly to the charity, which will put it to work making clean water a reality for everyone.
