Isn't it time you brought your bathroom into the 21st century? Have you always hated your kitchen backsplash? If you haven't looked at tiles recently, you'll be amazed at the wonderful new products. Take a look at all the trendy glass tiles. Fireclay Tile has a new product made from 100 percent recycled glass so you can earn “green” bragging rights and LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) points.

Crush is made from recycled window glass. You can pick from 17 different sizes, two finishes and 40 colors of tile. The Debris Series Recycled Tile comes in 112 colors and is made from 60 percent recycled granite dust, recycled glass and recycled abrasives used for sandblasting. All materials come from within 20 miles of the factory in San Jose, CA.

What makes Fireclay Tile different from its competitors is the company they use locally sourced recycled materials and they make their products using sustainable processes. The factory is illuminated by natural light, re-uses its waste water and has efficient natural gas firing on its production lines.

You can find Crush and Debris tiles at Tile America, which has stores in Stamford and Fairfield, and at The Green Living Centre in Westport. Tiles are made to order within four weeks.
