Hair Innovations, a new Fairfield County salon, is bucking the one-stop beauty bar trend that has been popular of late, skipping the bangles and baubles in favor of good, old-fashioned hair styling in a luxe atmosphere. Nestled conveniently on the Post Road between Westport and Southport, the space is sleek and boasts comfy leather styling chairs and flattering lighting. Orchids scattered throughout give it a sophisticated, spa-like vibe. And the six stylists who work there say they have a singular focus: to make your hair look fabulous.
The salon hosted a grand opening celebration earlier this week to introduce themselves and their philosophy to Fairfield County.
Marlene Cox, the salons creative director, has spent her entire career as a stylist. The team she assembled at Hair Innovations has been working with her for more than five years. And Cox explains that the teams plan for the salon is simple. Some people just want to relax, she says. They dont want the distractions you might find in other salons.
Were a team, says stylist Kriztina Radvanyi-Godo. Weve been a team for a long time. And when we were coming up with the idea for the salon, we knew we just wanted to focus on hair, because thats what we do best.
The stylists put their talents on display during the party, offering guests complimentary hair tinsel, along with color and style consultations.
We also want to start hosting events, where we teach customers how to best use their products, how to choose the right products and how to blow out or style their hair, says Cox.
Hair Innovations is a full-service hair salon for the whole family. We do womens hair and mens hair, adults, kids, says Cox. And were open Tuesday through Saturday. Wednesdays were open until 8 p.m.
