The Bridgeport-Stamford-Norwalk metro area came in number 27 on a list of 102 metro areas in a study published in The Atlantic magazine.
According to the study, there is a “man-gap” of 24.2 percent in the Bridgeport-Stamford-Norwalk region. The study compared how many college-educated women under 35 there are in a region, compared with the number of college-educated men in the same age group.
If you’re a woman in this category, you’re most likely to find a match in Utah, the study found. The Ogden-Clearview metro area came in at Number 1, with a gap of just 3.51 percent, and Provo-Orem came in at Number 3, with 9.87 percent more women than men in the category.
College-educated women are far less likely to find a college-educated man in Sarasota, Fla., where the gap is 83.27 percent.
The Atlantic studied census data for 102 metro areas with populations over 500,000 to come up with the information for the study.
