- 10th – Access to Pediatric Services
- 9th – Number of Child Centers per capita
- 2nd – Parental Leave Policy Score
- 7th – Preterm Births
- 8th – Maternal Mortality Ratio
- 8th – Maternity Practices in Infant Nutrition and Care
The best state to have a baby is Vermont, with Alabama listed as the worst state to add to the family, according to the report.
