Students Express Themselves at Shake Shack

WESTPORT, Conn.—Love food? Love art? If you’re 13 to 18 years old, then you’re in luck.

The Westport Arts Center (WAC) has teamed with popular burger joint, Shake Shack, to create an “Expression Session” art contest for high school students.

Shack Shack wants creative, local fans to use the popular gathering spot and its creative menu as inspiration for Shack-themed artwork. Painting, photography, sculpture, digital, video, jewelry—the Shack’s the limit!

“We are delighted to partner with Shake Shack and help provide opportunities to showcase the artwork of high school students,” said Danielle Ogden, WAC's Director of Education.  “Our community is filled with talented young artists, and we are thrilled to deliver such an interesting platform to exhibit their work.”

Submissions are due June 8, by 5 p.m. to be entered in the juried exhibition, which will be presented at the Westport Shake Shack from June to October. The show kicks off June 28 at 6 p.m. with an opening night reception.
