The annual Stew Leonards food, wine and beer tasting is back. Slated for Thursday, June 2, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Calf Pasture Beach in Norwalk, this will be the eighth consecutive year Stews has hosted a food and wine tasting to benefit United Way of Coastal Fairfield County.
"Our annual food and wine tasting to benefit United Way is one of our most popular events and sells out every year," says Stew Leonard, Jr., President and CEO of Stew Leonard's Wines. "This year we are very excited to include a number of microbrew beers on the tasting menu."
The wine specialists at Stew Leonards have hand selected wines that pair well with warm weather and sunshine, including a Sauvignon Blanc from Cloudy Bay and a Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir from David Bruce. Theyll also have a selection of handcrafted microbrews, like Peak Organic Brewing Company from Portland, Maine.
And on the menu, youll find an assortment of finger foods Stews says are designed to complement the variety of beer and wines being served. The menu includes: lobster rolls, sliced filet mignon on focaccia, mini crab cakes with remoulade sauce, quesadillas with pico de gallo, and assorted dips and veggies.
Tickets, on sale now, are $50 per person or two for $90. Buy yours at Stew Leonard's Wines of Norwalk, 55 Westport Avenue, Norwalk, CT, 203-750-6162, or on their Website.
