Shoppers Mingle at Intermix Grand Opening

The chic and the stylish stepped out onto the Avenue this week to celebrate the grand opening of Greenwich’s newest fashion destination, Intermix.

“We have wanted to come up to Greenwich for 10 years,” Haro Keledjian, Intermix’s Chief Operating Officer told me. “But we never found just the right space until now.”

And it is a beautiful storefront they’ve created at 325 Greenwich Ave. Whitewashed exposed brick gives it an airy, exurban feel, and provides the perfect backdrop to the superlative styles and prints on display.

“I’m just so happy they’re here,” said Cheryl Jordan, who was there with a team of stylists from Warren-Tricomi Salon offering free blow outs to guests. “I used to shop at Intermix in the city all the time.”

“A lot of people have come up to me tonight and said, ‘You’re bringing fashion to Greenwich,’” Keledjian explained. “Customers who know us will still recognize us. We didn’t change too much. We still want the Intermix feel. But the styles were thoughtfully chosen with the Greenwich woman in mind.”

So what can Fairfield County expect to find at our very own Intermix?

“It’s a great mother/daughter boutique,” said Janine Nicoletti, the store manager at the new location. She wore a stunning royal blue silk chiffon maxi skirt by Rag and Bone, one of the many pieces from their collection that I found myself coveting. “We have pieces that are a little more sophisticated for the moms, and some edgier looks for the daughters. We can help anyone find the perfect outfit.”
