Scouts Enjoy Special Day At Norwalk's Maritime Aquarium

NORWALK, Conn. — Area Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts of all types found their way to Norwalk's Maritime Aquarium on Saturday as the venue held its annual Scout Day.

Scouts who showed up in uniform got discounted admission to the aquarium or the IMAX movie.

There was also an activity station called "Leave No Trace," where the Scouts learned all about minimizing our impact on the environment.

As a special Scout Day bonus, scouts were able to see the new IMAX movie “National Parks Adventure,” playing on the aquarium’s six-story screen, more than two months before it opens to the public.

Narrated by Robert Redford, the film offers the ultimate off-trail adventure into the nation’s great outdoors and untamed wilderness.

The film's release coincides with the aquarium's National Parks’ 100th anniversary this year.
