The annual Near and Far Aid fashion show is one of the hottest tickets in Fairfield County each spring. This year, the gala is slated for the evening of March 2, 2012. Tickets are set to go on sale this month.
Details are still emerging, but its no secret the night will be big on style. Sponsored, as in past years, by Mitchells of Westport, the local couture retailer will likely pull out all the stops when it comes to highlighting the hottest looks of the season. Its always an evening filled with the best music, fashion and food our area has to offer.
But while the night is big on glam, its also big on purpose. Of last years event, gala co-chairwoman Jennifer Nelson said, We want to be reminded of our sense of purpose. Its about really making a difference.
Near and Far Aid is an all-volunteer organization that works to end poverty in Fairfield County. The organization provides funding for projects that address causes and effects of poverty in our area. Near and Far Aid provides grants that support programs that help families at risk, adults in crisis, homelessness and elderly care, among other local efforts.
