Run Over to a Free Seminar About Running

Sports medicine physician and runner Dr. Gloria Cohen knows a thing or two about running -- and about running-related injuries. She will help inform interested runners about recognizing and avoiding the most common running-related injuries at a free injury prevention seminar for runners of all levels.

The ONS Foundation for Clinical Research and Education is presenting the free seminar, called: "Running Right!" It will take place Tuesday, Sept. 21 at 6:30 p.m. at the offices of ONS, 6 Greenwich Office Park on Valley Drive in Greenwich.

The program will offer valuable information on running biomechanics and treatments for running injuries.

In addition to Dr. Cohen, physical therapist Abigail Ramsey will address conditioning, safe training methods and physical therapy treatments for injuries. She will also discuss the optimal time and way to return to the sport of running after sustaining an injury. And Andy Kimerling, a running shoe specialist, will discuss the latest technology in running shoes.

The seminar is free but registration is required. Email contact@ons-foundation.org, or call (203) 869-3131 to register.
