Laurie Perren, a New Canaan resident, has owned Roundabout for 21 years. Since then, she's added stores in Greenwich, Manhattan and SoHo. "Nothing hits the floor in any of my stores without my approval. Nothing," Laurie says. "Quality is always priority."

Her enthusiasm extends beyond her clothes to her clientele. "Westport women love to shop. They buy interesting pieces. It doesn't even have to be a designer they've heard of—they're open to everything. They know clothes, and they like a bargain, which makes doing business here a lot of fun."
