Two things I've never been very good at are gardening and meditation. Maybe it's because neither pursuit yields instant results: There are days and weeks of thinking, watering, breathing, and pruning before any noticeable growth occurs (literal or metaphorical). Clearly the Norwalk Public Library had people like me in mind when they scheduled the June 3 installment of their Healthy Living and Wellness series. From noon to 1:30 p.m., Terry Nevas, director of the Maharishi Invincibility Center of Weston, will lead a "Meditation for Health" session based on Transcendental Meditation (TM). Later on, from 7 to 8:30 p.m., Greenwich-based horticulturist Melissa Piechucki will teach a workshop on "Container Gardening" for aspiring greenthumbs. The Norwalk Department of Health is providing seeds and containers to get participants started. They say patience is a virtue, right? Both events are free and will be held in the NPL's second floor auditorium at 1 Belden Avenue, www.norwalkpubliclibrary.org.
