Whats worth knowing: This superpremium sedan is a show-off car meant to prove that Hyundai can wow you for a lot less than Mercedes or Lexus.
Base price: $58,000
Worth buying: If your back hurts but your wallet doesnt.
MPG range (city/highway): 16/24
Who its for: Pamperholics who want every conceivable feature for thousands less than the luxury makes charge.
Whats good: Nobody else offers a drivers side back-massager (plus an optional rear-seat massager) or all the other over-the-top features that the Equus has, at this price.
Whats bad: The Equus is meant for a chauffeurwith premium comforts and first-class seating in the rearbut most Americans would end up putting their kids back there. Where theyll argue over all the controls.
What to do: Test-drive one, just for funand have your spouse drive while you luxuriate in the back.
