Oysters are the Pearl at Oyster Fest

The annual Norwalk Oyster Fest kicks off today and serves up all the freshest local seafood and award-winning barbecue you could want -- and then some.

“We have raw oysters, fried oysters, stuffed clams, lobster dinners, bratwurst, funnel cakes, beer, wine... Did I mention the fried oysters,” laughs Andy Garfunkel, co-chair of the 2010 Norwalk Seaport Association’s Oyster Festival. “And I haven’t even gotten to the barbecue pit yet!”

This festival has something for every appetite. There’s plenty of entertainment, too. But the real reason to go?

“The oysters!” says Andy.

Slurp, shuck and eat your way over to Norwalk’s Veteran’s Park this weekend for a delicious time.
