Outdoor Fabrics Move Inside

Do your kitchen chairs look like a blend of food stains? Has your beautiful window seat cushion faded beyond recognition? Have the window treatments in your sunroom lost all their color? Next time you decorate, consider using a fabulous new all-weather fabric.

All-weather fabrics have come a LONG way since Sunbrella launched its first outdoor fabrics in the mid 1960s. Gone are the days of scratchy cushions in a mediocre selection of bland stripes. Today, most of the designer fabric houses produce a great selection of all-weather fabrics in soft chenilles, faux linens and even velvets in all sorts of colors. Honestly, you'd never know these were designed for the outdoors!

If you have a really sunny room and are worried about your upholstery and draperies fading, or you have children and pets scampering over the sectional, look at the new all-weather fabrics. They're not outrageously expensive, are amazingly easy to keep clean and can put up with all sorts of abuse.

All-weather fabrics are made of solution-dyed acrylics, which are resistant to fading, mildew and stains.
