Loud noise phobias can cause pets to bite someone out of fear. Pets may also run away if they become too afraid. The Humane Society of United States, said that on the Fourth of July, so many pets are frightened and try to escape the sights and sounds that animal shelters around the nation report a dramatic increase in lost pets during the holiday.
Another reason to keep pets away from the celebrations of summer is heat. High temperatures put pets at risk of heat stroke, which can become deadly very quickly, the society said.
Never leave a pet in a parked car. Even when the temperature outside is just 72 degrees, the temperature inside a car can rocket to a fatal 116 degrees in less than an hour, they added.

The Humane Society added that the best policy is to leave pets securely at home during holiday fireworks.
