Jeanne Burris, vice-chair of Near & Far Aid, and Denise Bowen and Nance Vigneau, the co-chairs of the 2011 Designer House Tour, have been hard at work this past year preparing the house tour to top all house tours. This year's tour affords a peek into five professionally decorated mansions in exclusive neighborhoods in Westport, Southport and Greenfield Hills.
Buy a ticket to Near & Far Aids Designer House Tour and youll also be donating money to help fight poverty. Near & Fair Aid supports more than 100 charities working in Fairfield County. The house tour is on Friday, April 29 and tickets cost $60 (or $75 on the day of the tour). Make a full day of it and start with breakfast from 9:15 to 10:45 a.m. at the newly redesigned Patterson Club in Fairfield. Jamie Drake, a New York City-based designer known for his high-profile clients and dramatic use of color, will give a presentation called Lessons in Glamor. Tickets are $65. Wrap up the day with a cocktail party billed as a Toast to the Tour at an elegant waterfront estate with views of Long Island Sound. Tickets range from $100 to $200.
