Frugal fashionistas were out in near frenzied force this morning across the country and in Fairfield and Westchester counties. They were hunting for bargain-priced designer pieces for fall as Target rolled out its much-anticipated Missoni for Target line.
But many folks found the stores had already sold out of the Italian brands signature striped knits by the time they had arrived.
Im really pissed at the handling of this event, said New York City resident Abel Rapp who was shopping at the Target store in Bethel, Conn. I went to three target stores in Westchester, too, and they were all sold out.
During a phone call, a communications representative from Target said, Were obviously thrilled with the popularity of the line. We knew it was going to be big. We will do our very best to keep up with demand. As for when shoppers can expect to find more Missoni pieces, she declined to comment, and said she would forward the interview request to the appropriate contact within Targets communications department.
