Designer Suzanne Zarrilli is determined to make the I have nothing to wear moment a thing of the past. Her new line, Ten Easy Pieces, is the equivalent of Ready-to-Wear: The Genius Edition. Structured lines and dynamic details are hallmarks of the sleek and effortlessly sexy label. But Ten Easy Pieces brilliance rests in comfort.
The goal is to present structured pieces that pull together your look, but feel like a cozy sweatshirt, says Suzanne, the vivacious and multi-talented owner of Wishlist stores. Conceptually, the line was inspired by a few things. First, my customers started to grow up, so Wishlist needed to grow up with them. Second, women are busy. Sometimes they default to less flattering looks because theyre in a hurry or because yoga pants are just more comfortable. I wanted to create simple solution that married comfort and style and have it be kind of a no-brainer. So, Ten Easy Pieces was born.
Despite the name, the line actually incorporates about 15 pieces now. All can transition from daytime in the office to an evening out. The tailored jackets are smart and can take jeans and a t-shirt from sloppy to stylish, and youll still feel like youre wearing your favorite hoodie.
I kept the color palate calm, with just a few pops of brighter colors, Suzanne says. And I kept the price point down -- a fashionista look at recessionista prices.
Leave the yoga pants on the mat, and give your look an upgrade. Suzannes done all the work for you. All you have to do is get dressed.
