Kids Get Cookin'

The Blues, Views & BBQ festival kicks off today at the Levitt Pavilion in Westport. It’s the biggest homestyle barbecue cooking bash this side of the Mississippi. Tomorrow, I will join a panel of local food mavens to judge the Kids Q portion of the weekend.

Future chefs will gather in teams of two to four kids to serve up burgers, hot dogs, chicken and other grilled fare. We judges will look for creativity, style and, of course, taste. Teams will turn in their dishes beginning at 1:00 p.m. and trophies will be awarded at 3:00 p.m.
