Is Your Kitchen Ready For a Makeover?

Are you happy with your kitchen, or do you spend hours poring over design books and watching HGTV kitchen makeovers?

Fixing up an old kitchen can be a great investment for a home, but deciding just how the new kitchen should look isn't easy. The best way to start planning is to look at lots of kitchens, and the best place to do that is at the Architects & Designers Building at 150 East 58th Street in Manhattan, across the street from Bloomingdale's.

The A & D Building has 35 showrooms displaying kitchens and bathrooms, stone and tile, wood flooring and carpeting, appliances and furniture. Kitchen showrooms span the range from traditional, such as Wood-Mode and St. Charles of New York, to sleek and contemporary, such as Snaidero, Poggenpohl, Siematic, Bilotta and Varenna by Poliform. Tile showrooms include Artistic Tile, Paris Ceramics USA and Exquisite Surfaces. GE Monogram, Miele and Sub Zero/Wolf showrooms showcase top appliances.

The showrooms are open Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
