It's a big deal. Not only has the Ford Fusion been picked by "Consumer Reports" as the top family sedan in 2011 for the second consecutive year -- it has edged out Honda's venerable Accord and the Toyota Camry in its ascent.
In the budget car segment, the Ford Fiesta made the top of the list, and Ford also won "Consumer Reports" small SUV category with its Escape. Meanwhile, over in funkville, the oh-so-cool Ford Flex sauntered away with the family hauler category and the ever-popular Mustang trotted home with top pick among sporty cars.
