Filling Station Makes a Stamford Pit Stop

Get hungry, Stamford, because Filling Station is headed your way. Word on the street is that co-owners Seth Leifer and Nicholas Type have inked a deal for a second Filling Station location. The original Filling Station, parked in New Canaan, turns one this month. For the uninitiated, Filling Station is like a burger joint, version 2.0. Old school burgers and fries, with updates and twists at every turn, like this month's special, the buffalo wing burger and Guiness milkshake.

Soon, you'll be able to enjoy such carnivorous creativity in their new Atlantic Street location in Stamford, across from the Palace Theater. They'll offer the same deliciousness Fairfield County diners have come to love, but in an 1,800 square foot space. That means, you probably won't have to wait in a line outside on the sidewalk for your burger.

No word yet on an opening date, but my guess is that Fairfield County won't have to wait too long to fill up at Filling Station #2. As soon as I know it, you'll know it. Until then, we can pull up to the original, located at 19 South Ave., in New Canaan.
