Fashion's Night Out Ready to Strut

If you haven’t already blocked out the evening of September 8 on your calendar, it’s hard to imagine what’s stopping you. It’s Fashion’s Night Out (FNO), an event which began in New York City during the darkest days of the recession, has become a global event, and arguably one of the most stylish of the year. But just because you’ve abdicated your sleek city lifestyle for a quieter, exurban existance doesn’t mean you have to miss out.

Fashion’s Night Out is coming to a style savvy town near you! Both Fairfield and Westchester Counties are hosting well-accessorized events that will bring the glitz much closer to home.

In New York, White Plains will be the en vogue epicenter, headquartered at The Westchester. Shoppers can expect tons of free samples, demos, modeling and more. Kick back in the FNO lounge on Retail Level One nearby David Yurman to sign up for designer ‘swag bags and enjoy hand massages and express facials courtesy of L’Occitaine. Feather boas included. Then, shop designers and retailers like Nordstrom, Neiman MarcusAnn TaylorClub MonacoCole Haan, Juicy Couture, MAC, Michael Kors, Salvatore Ferragamo, Tory Burch and Wolford Boutique for bargains and tips on the best for fall 2011.

Connecticut’s style mecca for FNO is On the Ave. in Greenwich. Music, food and plenty of deals and steals await. With Saks Fifth Avenue spearheading the evening, you know it’s going to be gorgeous. Watch as the "Ave" is transformed into a working runway, and pop into your favorite boutiques for samples and sales.

Get ready for your close up Sept. 8, and remember to check back here for more details.
