Frank Talk: It's all about making people smile -- and serving them the true potential of classic American comfort food. So says Chef Gary Zemola, one of the three owners of Super Duper Weenie (he used to be chef at the esteemed South Norwalk Italian restaurant Pasta Nostra). Everything is made fresh -- from the dizzying array of homemade condiments to the locally made bread from Chaves Bakery in Bridgeport. The eatery, known for its split and grilled hot dogs, even brews it's own iced tea. "There are no packaged products here," he stressed. That also means fresh-cut French fries and made from scratch soups.
Top This: The topping combos are practically endless with bacon, cheese, two types of chili, relish, red onion sauce, grilled onions, cole slaw leading the way.
