Ask Anne Wiacek if she misses her old life and youll have a tough time getting her to stop laughing. I used to sit in my office cubicle managing IT projects but my mind would be in the interior design consignment shop in Cannondale in Wilton, she says. I used to help out there one Sunday every month. I'd take my music and spend the day looking at all the beautiful furniture and accessories. I loved it.
When the consignment shop closed, Anne hatched a plan, together with mentor Robin Mackay of Manzi Mackay Consulting, to open her own design store. This summer the Old Greenwich resident's dream came true. Interior Design Consignors is tucked into a tiny storefront in SoNo and is a treasure trove of high end home furnishings that have been consigned by interior designers and wholesalers.
In addition to upholstered pieces, Anne sells fabrics, handcrafted fireplace screens, upholstered mirrors, trendy lighting and an ever-changing selection of art. She also provides upholstery services.
