Dig into a Delicious Sneak Preview

Chef Ferran Adrià is so legendary, they’ve made a movie about him. Wednesday, July 13, at the Avon Theater, you will have a chance to enjoy a sneak preview of El Bulli: Cooking in Progress, a documentary by director Gereon Wetzel, about Chef Adrià and his world-renowned restaurant, El Bulli. Located outside of Barcelona, Spain, El Bulli has been hailed by global critics as the best restaurant in the world. The restaurant is only open six months out of the year and accommodates only 50 people, despite two million reservation requests annually. The film, which Alive Mind Cinema called “an elegant, detailed study of food as avant-garde art,” takes you inside the mind and kitchen of this unparalleled chef.

And since watching a film about food is bound to make you hungry, Barcelona Restaurant and Wine Bar will offer a post-screening tasting of some of the restaurant’s famed Spanish tapas dishes. Plus, Adam Halberg, culinary director of the Barcelona Restaurant Group will be on hand for a Q & A session following the film.
