You can buy just about everything and lots of it at Costco, including automobiles, tires and discounted fuel. And now you can find Costco discount auto repair at many car dealerships throughout the country.
Costco has negotiated a 15 percent discount on parts, labor and accessories with select dealerships, according to Automotive News. The strategy allows those dealers access to Costco's 44 million members, who will receive significant discounts.
Most car owners opt out of costly dealership repairs and servicing, choosing instead to patronize independently owned repair shops, which means the partnership could be lucrative for car dealerships.
If your dealership is among those partnering with the giant warehouse chain, you might reconsider maintenance and repair with them, particularly if they serve warm cookies in the waiting room.
