Cooking Demo Invokes Flavors of Fall

If words such as “rustic,” “balsamic” and “quince” get your oven heated up, then don’t miss Chef Matt Storch’s fall cooking demo at the Westport Farmers’ Market this week. He’ll toss together a salad of tiny mozzarella pearls, butternut squash, crunchy quince, apple, candied nuts and pepitas, then throw in some aged aged balsamic, extra virgin olive oil and pumpkin oil, just for good measure. And he’ll show you how to do it, twice. Once at 11:00 a.m. and again at 1:00 p.m.

And if your sweet tooth is feeling neglected after so much savory goodness, make sure to hunt down a bag of Pinkki cookies, by Savor. A bag will cost you $8, with four of those dollars being donated to the William Raveis Breast Cancer Research Fund
