Among the songs the choir plans to perform include Britten's “Hymn to St Cecelia” and “Festival Te Deum,” Howell's “Take Him, Earth, for Cherishing,” Parry's “Songs of Farewell” and “Blest Pair of Sirens” and Stanford's “For Lo! I Raise Up.” The group will also perform works by Bach, Fauré, Gibbons, Purcell, Rheinberger and others.
The 28-member choir, which tours internationally each summer, will perform from Boston to Arlington, Va., throughout July, but the Norwalk stop on the 10th will be its only appearance in Connecticut in 2013.
In addition to the summer international tour, the choir tours its native United Kingdom extensively and records CDs.
The July 10 performance is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. at the church, at 60 East Ave. in Norwalk. Tickets will be available at the door, but prices have not yet been announced.
