Sometimes a good glass of wine is worth travelling for. No, Im not talking Tuscany. Im talking Connecticut. Saturday, July 30, the Connecticut Wine Festival kicks off in Goshen, Conn., lasting through Sunday, July 30. And while Goshen isnt exactly our backyard, its close enough to consider making the trip. As long as you have a designated driver, of course.
Wines from all over the state, as well as specialty foods and live music are all on the menu for the weekend. Connecticut wineries such as Sunset Meadow Vineyards, Jones Winery and Land of Nod Winery are just some of the winemakers who will be pouring their best.
Tickets purchased at the gate are $25, and tickets purchased in advance are $20. Designated drivers and folks under the age of 21 get in for just $10. For more information, or to purchase tickets, make sure you visit www.ctwine.com.
