Bar Rosso Fires Up

Stamford is set to welcome a new restaurant to the scene. Bar Rosso’s much anticipated opening is almost here. Thursday, May 12, the space at 24 Spring St. (formerly Bennett’s Steak House) will unveil itself to the world.

Bar Rosso is the gastronomic love child of Napa & Co.’s Mary Schaeffer and Chef Dan Kardos. Fairfield County foodies may remember Chef Dan from Harvest Supper in New Canaan. Together, he and Mary have reinvented the space, creating what they say is a “dramatic two story-high central dining area.” Bar Rosso also boasts an authentic Italian menu, wine list and wood burning oven.

And, just in time for warmer weather, Bar Rosso also offers streetside patio dining.
